HEMP ALTERNATIVES

Updated: May 7, 2020

Hemp is versatile in so many ways; from health foods to clothing, paper and chemical-free wood stains.

Hemp seed and oil is an excellent nutritional source of Omega-3, Omega-6, and all eight essential amino acids including GLA (gamma-linoleic acid).

As a fast growing eco-friendly annual, Hemp is a renewable, reusable and recyclable resource.

Hemp produces three times as much fibre per acre as cotton without the harsh pesticide and herbicide inputs.

Environmentally Friendly

- Eco-friendly Hemp can replace almost all toxic petrochemical products.

- As a replacement for wood products, Hemp is low in lignin which means hemp can be pulped using less chemicals.

- Hemp plants have natural microbial properties so they are not very susceptible to pests thereby reducing toxic farm runoff and pollutants that contaminate our water, soil and air.

- Hemp has a deep root system that helps prevent soil erosion, removes toxins, provides a disease break and aerates the soil to the benefit of future crops.
